Contact Dr. Dan Wolfson directly at dw@wolfsontherapy.com or complete the form below so that we can begin to explore how we can support you.
Once you reach out to us, we will loop back via email (typically within 1-2 business days) and connect you with a therapist that aligns with your goals.
Following a brief phone consultation to confirm that everything feels like a good fit, you will schedule an initial session, and begin your work together from there.
Serving Manhattan, New York, Pennsylvania, Maine and New Jersey.
In addition to offering virtual therapy, our team has in-person availability conveniently located throughout Manhattan with offices near Flatiron/ Herald Square, Midtown/ Columbus Circle, and the Upper East Side.
While grief is a specialty area for every Wolfson Therapy clinician, our client focuses and areas of expertise expand well beyond this as well. Our understanding of grief informs our belief in individual resilience and the ability to adapt and grow, which we think is a helpful lens that expands well beyond working with bereaved individuals.
Therapists within our group also have specific additional focuses including work with children and teens, adult anxiety, ADHD, high achieving professionals, and much more. Our main goal is making sure that every person seeking therapy is able to find the resource(s) that best meet their needs, whether that is within our practice or elsewhere, and we’ll be happy to help you explore what makes the most sense for you.
We work with all insurance companies as an out of network provider.
As a Wolfson Therapy client, you will have access to an online client portal system where you can download monthly superbill statements that can be submitted to your provider for out of network reimbursement if that is something that your plan offers.
We find that clients with this benefit are consistently reimbursed for 50-75% of session fees depending on their plan. Call your provider and ask about “out of network behavioral health coverage” to see if this option is available for you.
Our rates range depending on provider, and are consistent within the landscape of the New York City private practice therapy market, with some sliding scale availability on a case-by-case basis.
*Good Faith Estimate for your care: Under the law (Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act) health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have a right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services. You can ask our practice for a Good Faith Estimate in writing before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate. For more information visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
